Firefighters from Nairobi County are currently on the site battling the fire.

A fire has erupted on Muinami Street in Majengo, Kamukunji sub-county.

The inferno which started on Saturday evening comes only four days after another fire claimed seven lives and destroyed properties in the adjacent Kitui Village.

Firefighters from the Nairobi City County Fire Department responded swiftly to contain the blaze.

The aftermath of the fire left two people injured and affected 60 houses. Fortunately, there were no fatalities from the inferno.

Those injured included a 16-year-old boy and one adult who were affected by the smoke from the fire and are currently receiving treatment.

The fire earlier this week affected over 60 houses, leaving 150 families homeless.
